SERV – Blood Bikes

This month, the Milton-under-Wychwood W.I. welcome Alistair Borland MBE, Chairman of Service Emergency Rider Volunteers (SERV) to their monthly meeting on June 21st. The meeting will begin at 7.30pm and take place in the Milton Village Hall. New members and visitors are welcome to attend.

SERV are a volunteer-run charity which exists to provide the facilities and resources which allows their members to deliver vital rapid response services. SERV transport urgently needed medical items to hospitals including blood, blood products, biological samples, vaccines and donor breast milk.

The charity is run entirely by volunteers who receive no compensation for their time or costs. They receive no funding from the Government, saving NHS Hospitals £00,000’s and enabling them to divert funds where they are needed most.
