Short Notice but if you’re interested in butterfly conservation – read on

Nick Bowles of the Upper Thames Butterfly Conservation will run a butterfly ID training session for summer garden butterflies on Tuesday 30th June at 6:30pm.  It is open to anyone but is aimed at beginners.  We are also looking for local volunteers to survey butterflies and pollinators in the Natural Flood Management project, just outside the village, to monitor how these changes are benefitting wildlife.  Due to the Covid emergency we were not able to run a survey training event so we are helping people improve their ID skills this year with the intention of starting the surveys next year.

If you are interested, this is the link to the event, you need to sign up to Eventbrite so we have your email address and can send you the Zoom invite the night before. This event is free.

If you didn’t manage to attend the first session, please could you watch the video that you will find on our home page under butterfly ID workshop, https://www.wildoxfordshire.org.uk/

Nick doesn’t want to go over the early summer species again.
