Milton Parish Council is renewing its 3 year contracts for Grass Cutting, Weed Control and Cemetery Groundsperson

The Parish Council is renewing its 3 year contracts for Village Grass Cutting and for Village Weed Control. They have also created a new contract for a Cemetery Groundsperson. The present contracts end at the end of the year and are now advertising for persons to fulfil these contract for the next 3 years, January 2022 till December 2024.

The Village has several grass area including the Village Green and contractor will need to be able to provide their own equipment to cover the areas. Similarly there are several areas that need weed control and again contractor will need to provide their own equipment and licences to use herbicides.

The cemetery groundsperson is a new role and the council is looking for someone to take overall responsibility for the upkeep of the cemetery in Bruern Road. This does not include the churchyard, just the cemetery. This is an ideal part time role for someone but again there is a large area of grass to be cut and other ancillary work to be done, so the contractor will need to provide their own equipment and licences if herbicides are to be used.

All three contracts will need a £5m Public Liability Insurance cover.

Contract details can be obtained from the Parish Clerk, Lara Jacques, by emailing her at miltonparishclerk@gmail.com or by writing to her at 2 Woodlands Close, Milton under Wychwood, OX7 6LS. Deadline for the return of contract details is midnight Tuesday 12th October 2021
