Be a Hedgehog Hero!

Hedgehogs, how we can help?

As part of Asthal Parish Council’s commitment to nature recovery we are delighted that Dr Lucy Bearman-Brown will give a talk on hedgehogs on Friday 7th March. Dr. Lucy Bearman-Brown is a Senior Lecturer in Zoology and Biodiversity at Hartpury University with a PhD from Reading University in Hedgehog Ecology. Lucy and her work have been featured on the Chris Evan’s’ show on Radio 2, BBC One’s ‘The One Show’ and Countryfile and in numerous print publications. She lives in Burford with her husband, daughter and collie.  The talk will cover the ongoing decline of both the hedgehog population and biodiversity more widely, with discussion of how this decline can be  reduced through positive action in our own gardens and neighbourhoods. The talk will be held at St Nicholas, Asthall. Doors will open at 7pm and the talk will start at 7.30pm. After the talk there will be a Q & A session.

The event is free but please bring some cash with you as there will be collection boxes for St Nicholas’s Church and The British Hedgehog Preservation Society.

The talk will be suitable for all ages
